Wasabi Tuna Salad

This recipe is from Ina Garten and is SO great. I would add a little sesame oil next time.


  1. 1 lb. cooked tuna steak
  2. ½ Tbsp. olive oil
  3. ¼ tsp. sesame oil (haven't tried this yet)
  4. salt and pepper
  5. zest and juice of 1 lime
  6. 2 tsp. soy sauce
  7. 5 dashes hot sauce
  8. 1 to 2 tsp. wasabi powder (to taste)
  9. 1 chopped scallion
  10. ⅛ cup diced red onion
  11. sesame seeds
  12. 1 ripe avocado


  1. Mix together olive oil, lime juice, sesame oil, soy sauce, hot sauce, wasabi, salt and pepper to taste. Add red onion to marinate.
  2. Chope avocado into large chunks and toss gently with vinaigrette. Add Scallions and cubed tuna. Stir and season to taste.
  3. Serve over salad (good with arugula), or on a sub roll.
