Jamie Oliver's food revolution

On April 12, the second season of British celebrity chef Jamie Oliver's TV show about food reform in America will debut.

The first season of "Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution," in case you missed it, featured Oliver's attempt to get the citizens of a small town in West Virginia to overhaul their diets. The new season chronicles Oliver's effort to explore school-lunch reform in California (he's rebuffed by the Los Angeles public-school district) and his creative outreach station titled Jamie's Kitchen.

Will he succeed? As Mireille Silcoff noted in the New York Times recently, Oliver is battling cross-cultural confusion; the Brits, after all, are proud of their abstemiousness, while Americans always want to have it all. Including the bag of chips.
