My Christmas gift

I'm jazzed about this gift; it was a complete surprise but one that I've wanted for a long time. Shhhh — for years I've mixed cookie dough in my … Cuisinart food processor (with the chopper blade, I know, I know). For cakes, sometimes the Cuisinart and sometimes a handheld Braun mixer. Or elbow grease, which doesn't allow for lightness and air, if you know what I mean.

Needless to say, I'm jumping with joy here. 

But, after Christmas I was pretty cooked out, so I haven't used my new toy much yet. I baked a [/recipes/collections/Culinate+Kitchen/Desserts/Carrie*27s+Chocolate+Cake "chocolate cake,"] and it was delicious, but that's about it. 

Time to get busy, right? J bought the pasta attachment too, so tonight it's homemade pasta. I'll report back.
