Sunday dinners

(post, Kim Carlson)

C. went to the Hillsdale Market with friends yesterday. They gathered ingredients that looked good and inspiring and then cooked their meal using only those items. What looked good and inspiring? Apparently a wild mushroom soup and arugula salad w/pears were on the menu. Yum.

While she was cooking, I was eating out. I felt lucky to have dinner with a friend at Clyde Common. Which was also delicious: again, argula salad (so good right now!), a bit of pork rillette, and papardelle with lamb sugo. We sat at one of their big communal tables, where we met a visitor from Holland who's going to spend the week at barista school.

Talk about lucky.
