On Mother Jones (and cross-posted on Grist), a team of climate-change reporters recently decided to look into the global chicken situation. Our poultry passion has led to a population explosion — which MJ documented with a series of thoughtful (and hilarious) graphs. Most interesting? The graph showing how our chicken-buying habits have changed, from preferring whole chickens in 1970 to, ahem, processed meat today. No word, though, on what will happen if the chicken population suddenly crashes.
