Julia Child forever

(article, Culinate staff)

When she died in 2004, the chef, author, television personality, and cooking evangelist Julia Child was just shy of 92. Today she would have turned 100, and her legions of fans worldwide have been celebrating her life all over again, ranging from Julia Moskin's take on the Julia Child recipes Americans still cook to the Huffington Post's list of Child's most memorable TV moments to the many Child-themed dinners, classes, and events in the Boston area, where she lived for much of her adult life.

Best, though, might be the wacky PBS tribute to Child, which not only includes original episodes of her classic show "The French Chef" but an Auto-Tuned remix, with Child giving cooking tips over a slow jam. Take that, Lady Gaga!
