Last year brought plenty of big storms and disasters our way, especially floods in the Pacific Northwest and wildfires in southern California. Many farmers lost herds, crops, or entire farms. Which means that farm-relief organizations have swung into action. Here are a few local organizations trying to help out farmers in the Pacific Northwest: # Tilth Producers of Washington Farmer Relief Fund. This organic-farming and sustainable-agriculture organization will donate money to the 400-plus organic and sustainable farming members of the Tilth Producers community. # Washington Farm Bureau. This organization has already raised more than $150,000 for farmers, but they're still taking donations. # Olympia Farmers Market Fund. Donate money to support the growers who sell at the market each week.
