h4(cleft). Creole candy

[%image pralines float=left width=150] The folks at Leah's Candy Kitchen have been confecting candy, in one way or another, since 1933. Can't get there to try the homemade pralines, pecan brittle, or Creole fudge? They're happy to mail some to you.

h4(clear). Pies

Hubig’s Pies are the cousin of those years-old plastic-wrapped “fruit pies” that you see in convenience stores. “Grandpa” would probably be more accurate than “cousin,” actually, since Hubig’s has been making their handpies for the last 100 years. They’re still baked fresh and fried daily, hearkening back to a time before convenience stores existed at all.
