Blueberry Sauce

Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries
- ⅓ cup water
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ½ tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 Tbsp. lemon zest
Steps
- Combine all the ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir gently and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the blueberries have broken down and the sauce has thickened. Serve over pancakes or waffles.
