Hot Ginger-Honey Lemonade

This is something I like to drink when I have a cold, or simply am cold and feeling the effects of too many cups of tea. Often I make a large batch to store in a jar in the fridge, which I then heat up by the cup.


  1. 2 cups water
  2. Juice of 1 lemon
  3. Thumb-size piece of fresh ginger, peeled and thinly sliced
  4. 3 heaping teaspoon honey


  1. Place all the ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Turn the heat down and simmer for 10 minutes. Strain and serve.
