In the post, Boutard offers a gentle reminder that wasps — those pesky insects that show up for seemingly every outdoor meal — are actually quite useful in the garden, eating caterpillars and other plant pests. A nice thank-you, really, on Labor Day, to a group of maligned insects whose work goes unrecognized.
