A new dirty dozen

The Environmental Working Group has released its 2011 Shopper's Guide, with a rejiggered lineup of the produce Dirty Dozen. Apples rolled to the top of the dirty list this year, with 98 percent sporting pesticide residues. New on the no-go list this year was cilantro, with some 44 percent of tested samples turning up unapproved pesticides. So go organic, at least for the grungiest produce.
