Last month, the New York Times reported on efforts in various states to ban unauthorized photography or filming on farms, feedlots, and slaughterhouses. Now Slow Food USA is calling for supporters to sign a petition protesting the possible criminalization in Minnesota, Florida, and Iowa of snapping photos or taking video. "Consumers have a right to know and a right to see how their food is produced," reads the petition, in part. "Farms that produce good, clean and fair food have nothing to hide."
