(post, Menominee Historical Downtown Farmers' Market)

The Menominee Historic Downtown Farmers Market Association is proud to announce their new location for the summer. After working with the City of Menominee, the Menominee Downtown Development Authority, and the Park and Recreation Department, they have worked out the detail for the farmers market to be on corner of 1st Street and 8th Ave next to the American Legion Building.
The Summer market will start on Saturday May 28, at 9am to 1pm and Thursday June 2, from 3pm to 7pm.
The market will run from May 28 to October 8,on Saturdays and Thursday and then return to their winter market inside Timeless Treasures Antique Mall from October to late May only on Saturdays.
The market Vendors have worked hard all winter long to reorganize the farmers market to a sustainable non-profit organization with the State of Michigan. We now have a Mission Statement, By-laws, Board of Directors, a New Policy and a new name. We have a lots of work ahead of us before the summers market begins.
Besides new signs to direct their customers to the new spot, the market is working with the MSU Extension, the Delta Menominee Health Department and other groups to have activities and how to classes going on during the summer market. Were even working on a newsletter to handout with each months
activities to help our customers to plan for the events.
"We are extremely, happy and excited about being back on 1st street", replied Market Manager Lucy Pier.
As is the City of Menominee and the Menominee Downtown Development Authority. Both wish the best and success for the markets new home.
