Pumpkin Contest, Year End Garage Sale and Tote Giveaway on the Hour

October 9  is our final outdoor full Farmers Market with  the exception of Mill Creek Farms who will be there for his customers on October 16 and October 23.   The Indoor Winter Farmers Market will Start on October 30, at 10 am to 1pm . 
 Along with our  Year End Garage / Market sale,  The Menominee Historical Downtown Farmers Market is Hosting a Pumpkin Decorating Contest .   Pumpkins will be free from the market for ages 0 to 5, and can be purchased from ages 6 and up.    A table for Decorating will be available from 3pm to 6pm on Thursday October 7 and 9am to 12pm on Saturday October 9.   Pumpkins can be taken home to be decorated or carved but must be returned  to Timeless Treasures by  Saturday October 16 at 12pm.   Each pumpkin that is returned will be displayed in the area Menominee Historical  Waterfront Downtown Business where the community can view and vote on them.
0 to 5 are asked that pumpkins are un -carved.  ages 6 and up has the options of un- carved or carved.
Carved pumpkins must  be done at home and have a petroleum jelly on the carved  area and a battery light supplied by each contestant.    Pumpkins will be open to judging between October 20 to October 27 with the winners announced at October 28 by noon.  Pumpkins can be picked up during the Menominee Historical Waterfront  Downtown Trick and Treating  from 3:30 pm to 5pm .   Any pumpkins left after October 28, will be picked up and disposed of.
 
"Know Your Farmer Meet Your Vendor" Winner for Saturday October 2, is Cheryl Haupt who was picked by Joan's Gardens, who was the featured vendor for the last two weeks.  This program lets our customers have a chance to find out where their food come from and how crafts are done , while having a chance to be in a drawing for a tote of goodies from the farmers and vendors of the market.  In honor of our last market  we will  feature our  Menominee Historical Waterfront Downtown Business by offering  the coupons starting on Thursday October 7 and have a drawing for a tote on the hour on October 9 starting with the first drawing at 10 am, 11am 12 pm and the last drawing at 1pm.   These totes will have goodies not only from the market and vendors but also from the Menominee Historical Waterfront Downtown Business. We encourage everyone to come down and be part of this program.
 
Thursday Market will have Farm Fresh Eggs, Grass and Grain fed beef products of hamburger, steaks, spare ribs, roasts, tenderloin, porterhouse, T-bone, naturally raised pork products, of ham slices, chops, ribs, bacon, breakfast sausage,  No MSG brats, Summer Sausage, and Beef Sticks , along with jams jellies maple syrup, ,Certified organic, and naturally grown vegetables, of assorted tomatoes, garlic, potatoes,some summer & winter squash,free  pumpkins for ages 0 to 5 , radishes, onions,  Green peppers, cucumbers, fresh herbs of rosemary basil possible ,lettuce and  possible  all cuts of lamb. Also possible homemade cookies. and possible cabbage.
 
Crafts will be birdhouses,lawn ornaments,cutting boards,small items of furniture, leather bags, & pouches, cat toys, ceramic jewelry, wash cloths, homemade soaps, lotions, laundry soap, possible area photos in wood frames and greeting cards.
 
Saturdays market will feature Farm Fresh Eggs, all cuts of beef, and naturally raised pork products, that are listed for Thursday,  all cuts of lamb, jams, jellies, homemade cookies, maple syrup, Vegetables list is the same as Saturday with Cucumbers, assort tomatoes, potatoes, herbs of chives, French thyme, and possible oregano  possible other herbs. assorted apples, along with homemade fudge and caramels.

Crafts will be bird houses, cutting boards, magnets, small handmade furniture., homemade laundry soap, handmade soaps and lotions, possible aprons, magnets, and small sewn items. possible boo boo pillows, quilted totes, snap purses, cell phone holders cat toys, leather bags and small jewelry, walker caddies, hats, scarves, mittens. bookmarks, and necklaces.
 
Garage sales items will also be available On Saturday during the markets.
 
The market will be accepting Project Fresh, Senior Project Fresh, WISEWOMAN Market Fresh coupons and EBT cards from all States.
