The Menominee Historical Downtown Farmers Market is sponsored by the Menominee Downtown Business Association and hosted by Timeless Treasures Antique Mall at 902 2nd Street on Thursday 3 pm to 7pm and Saturday 9am to 1pm. Vendors will leave as they sell out. Our market fishermen, farmers, and gardeners are licensed with the MDA and USDA to sell meat, fish, and eggs .Due to the passing of the cottage food law only items made in Michigan can be sold at the farmers market. Between our farmers, and local vendors who hand craft a multitude of items, makes this a diverse market. Weather permitting, the market will also feature every Thursday from 3pm to 5pm, The Community Drum Circle. Anyone who has a drum or wants to learn to play a drum, is encouraged to come down and join the group or come and enjoy the music as you shop. This program lets Customers to have a a chance to find out where their food comes from and how the crafts are done and be in a drawing for for a tote of goodies from the farmers and vendors of the market. The next two weeks , August 12 to August 21 will feature "Ruleau's White Fish" for our program "Know Your Farmer Meet Your Vendor" with the drawing on August 21 at 1pm. We encourage everyone to come down and find out what the special coupon punch is on "Bet you didn't know " that about him. Thursdays market will have jams and jellies, fresh white fish, farm fresh eggs, grass fed beef products, of ground beef, heart, liver, soup bones, and tongue. Natural raised pork products of country style ribs, spare ribs, bacon, breakfast sausage, organically,certified organic, and naturally grown vegetables which will include, cucumbers, green beans, beets, red potatoes, zucchini, carrots, Chinese cabbage, tomatoes, kale, herbs of basil, rosemary, sage, and possible others that are available along with cut flowers Crafts will be Bird Houses, Bird feeders, small furniture items, Saturday's market will have the same as Thursday along with grass fed beef tenderloins, home made breads, vegetables of string beans, hopefully Swiss chard, and anything else that is ready. Crafts will be homemade soap, lotions, lip gloss, area pictures in homemade frames, postcards, magnets, greeting cards, pillowcases, snap bags, book marks, boo, boo pillows. birdhouses, birdfeeders, and gourds. The market will be accepting Project Fresh, Senior Project Fresh, WISEWOMAN Market Fresh coupons and EBT cards from all States.
