Introduction
This classic summer gin drink is a simple combination of gin, sugar, lemon juice, and soda that was appearing in cocktail books as early as the 1870s.
Ingredients
- 1½ oz. gin
- ½ oz. lemon juice
- ½ oz. simple syrup (mix equal parts hot water and sugar and let cool)
- Soda
Steps
- Pour the first 3 ingredients into an ice-filled collins glass, top with soda, stir gently, and enjoy.
