Will food get safer this week?

So the Food Safety Modernization Act, which passed the House but stalled in the Senate, may finally come up for a Senate vote this week. 

Over at the Huffington Post yesterday, Alison Rose Levy took a look at both sides of the bill, which has broad support but is making small-scale food producers nervous. Meanwhile, Helena Bottemiller at the blog Food Safety News has been tracking the ruckus over a possible amendment banning bisphenol A from children's food and beverage containers.
