This spring, the Huffington Post launched a food section. So far, the website's roundup has ranged from seasonal recipes and personal tales to food politics and history. Check out the HuffPo's stories on the sugar industry, Aztec cooking, and British chef Heston Blumenthal's crusade to improve food for the elderly. Meanwhile, over at his eponymous website, Mark Bittman has assembled a number of writers, cooks, and reporter to create what he calls a slog — a salon/blog. For now he's posting a couple of items each day, including work by Barry Estabrook, formerly at Gourmet, who just won a Beard award for his coverage last year of the slave conditions endured by tomato pickers in Florida.
