More light and warmer temperatures equal more things to harvest. Spinach, kale, collards and arugula top the greens list. Osmogaia had some salad mix last week and should have more this this week. Other vegetables include carrots, beets, kohlrabi, turnips, radishes, potatoes, onions and winter squash. You will also find a nice selection of apples, pears and asian pears plus hazelnuts and chestnuts. Packer Orchards has been working hard at wheat-free and gluten-free baked goods. Their first two items, a wheat-free oatmeal raisin cookie and a gluten free chocolate chip cookie, will be available tomorrow. Give them a try! The market is working with employees in the Oregon WIC program in the food drive. They will be staffing a table collecting donations of food and money at the February 16th market.
