Every other autumn, Slow Food International throws a global party called Terra Madre. Farmers and food activists from around the world travel to Italy to discuss what they're doing to preserve food diversity, promote sustainable agriculture, encourage better nutrition, and the like. The website has some ideas, including celebratory dinners, farm excursions, and film screenings. Start planning now.
