A cake a day at NPR

(article, Culinate staff)

Melissa Gray produces the evening news show "All Things Considered" on NPR, which undoubtedly keeps her busy. But most Mondays over the past year, she's also fed the staff cake — cake she's baked, that is.

Gray has trundled all kinds of cake onto the subway and into the office, and usually whatever she brings is devoured in minutes. Now, she's gathered her recipes into a new cookbook — All Cakes Considered: A Year's Worth of Weekly Recipes Tasted, Tested, and Approved by the Staff of All Things Considered — so we at home can consider them too. (Read to the bottom of the linked page for Gray's Sweet Potato Pound Cake recipe.)
