Flu season

(article, Culinate staff)

Swine flu? Phooey. That's what a lot of Americans, apparently, consider this season's major flu threat to be: not much. Even though the vaccine for the H1N1 flu has yet to be made available nationwide, the New Yorker reports, plenty of folks are more afraid of the vaccine than the disease — without cause. More reassuring was CNN's recent advice for boosting your immune system in order to ward off both the flu and disease in general. Top tip: Eat protein, because "the molecules that fight disease are made of protein."
