I know you've heard of the adage, "you can't do the same thing over and over, and expect different results." I did. I thought if I skipped breakfast, or just ate a tiny bowl of cereal, I would lose weight and my body would thank me. My body said thank you alright...for the sugar and carbs. Ew.

Then someone suggested I try Egg Beaters. Whattttt? Not use real eggs? Isn't that like UnAmerican or something? Not Southern? My granny would turn in her grave for Pete's sake. But having an open mind (some say like a prairie) I decided to try them. 

I'm in love. Not only do I have a nutritious breakfast, but my body quit complaining and started dropping the weight. Here's what I have most mornings. 

Don't Tell Granny Breakfast

1/4 cup of Egg Beaters (calls for 1/2 cup but I found that to be too much)
1 round slice of ham (small size, like a piece of Canadian bacon)
1 piece of ANY fat-free cheese (I use the string sometimes, or 1 slice of Kraft Fat-free singles)
1 salad pocket

Pour 1/4 cup of Egg Beaters into a coffee mug sprayed with PAM. Nuke for 1 minute. Mix up a bit. Then add ham, cheese, and if you want, onion. Nuke for one additional minute. Stuff into salad pocket and enjoy! 

*You can use salsa if you'd like to kick it up.
