(article, Culinate staff)
Last weekend, the New York Times continued its series on the toxicity of America's public water supplies. The second article in the series (the first was about herbicides) profiled a West Virginia community suffering from water-table contamination thanks to nearby coal mines. More articles are on the way — next up is an article about how dairies affect water quality — but for now, check out the paper's database of reports on water-quality violations by ZIP code or state. Blech.
