Blueberry Twist

Blueberry and lemon are two flavors that were practically made to go together. I’ve seen so many recipes that wed the two that to see blueberries listed without some form of lemon seems almost unorthodox. The ginger gives a little kick of spice at the end, a surprise finish that will leave your friends guessing when they taste it.


  1. ½ cup fresh blueberries
  2. Zest of ½ lemon
  3. 1 large pinch of ground ginger
  4. 1 cup still water
  5. 4 cups chilled sparkling water


  1. Place the blueberries, lemon zest, ginger, and still water in a blender. Blend on high speed until smooth, for about 1 minute. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve into a large pitcher. Add the sparkling water, stir gently, and serve.
