Bread Pudding

(recipe, Hella Delicious)

Ingredients

  1. ½ l cream
  2. ½ l milk
  3. 150 g sugar
  4. 2 t vanilla essence
  5. 9 eggs
  6. panatone bread, sliced and buttered each side
  7. cinnamon

Steps

  1. Heat the cream, milk, sugar, vanilla and eggs over low heat.
  2. Butter thick slices of panatone and soak in the cream and egg mixture.
  3. Place into a deep bread pan lined with waxed paper and greased.
  4. Bake covered with foil 35 minutes at 160 degrees C
  5. Bake uncovered for 10 minutes until browned.
  6. Serve with cream or ice-cream.
