Hot Apple Cider
(recipe, Carrie Floyd)

Introduction
There's nothing quite like hot apple cider on a chilly autumn afternoon. Once you've mulled the cider and are ready to serve it, you can either leave the whole spices in or strain them out.
Ingredients
- 3 cups fresh apple cider (pasteurized)
- ¾ cup freshly squeezed orange juice
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 8 whole cloves
Steps
- Combine everything in a medium saucepan. Bring to a simmer, turn to low, and allow to steep for 20 to 30 minutes.
- When ready to serve, pour into mugs. (If you want to strain out the spices, pour the cider through a strainer first.)
