Drinking chocolate

Chocolatier Michael Recchiuti wants everyone to learn to make drinking chocolate, that sweet confection in a cup: not quite cocoa, not quite a chocolate bar, but something in between. It's so easy, claims Recchiuti, that a person can do it on a trolley. Or at least he does it on a trolley (maybe so the rest of us don't have to). The San Francisco chocolatier was in Portland at the Heathman Hotel this weekend, collaborating with Chef Philippe Boulot on a chocolate "tea" (as in, afternoon tea) that included Recchiuti's amazing hot chocolate. We're sold on the stuff, and just as soon as we get our hands on a battery-powered whisk, we're going to jump on board.
