He foods, she foods

(article, Kim Carlson)

Is there "men's food" and "women's food"? That's a question posed by a poster over at Epicurious.com, who wonders what kind of breakfast to cook in the fall, at an event where most of the diners will be men. The question is generating some good discussion. As a cook, I definitely feel like portions have to be bigger if I'm serving men, but I don't give much thought to the food itself.

Maybe these firefighters have an opinion?

Wait a second; as Challenge Master of the [/mix/challenge/thevegetablechallenge "Vegetable Challenge"], I've got to ask, "Where's the veg on that firehouse pizza?" Oh, that's right. Men eat more meat; women eat more veg.

And there you have it.
