So the Victory Garden planted by Slow Food Nation in front of San Francisco's City Hall is due to come down in November. But if the Eat the View project has its way, that public statement of a garden will be replaced that month by an even more public garden: on the White House lawn. The goal: to convince whoever becomes the next President to make a kitchen garden in front of his new home. Eat the View has an online petition and is even shepherding "sales" of the lawn on eBay.
