 h1. Dear readers,
 
 This weekend, Slow Food's blow-out celebration of American food will commence in San Francisco. We're attending — listening to speakers, wandering among the food booths, seeking inspiration in the Victory Garden. On Culinate, we'll share with you our impressions of the event, both through a series of Our Table installments with lots of photos, and via Twitter/Fritter. Check back often!

 On Saturday night, we're excited that Culinate reader Diane and her husband, Rick, will join us for dinner at Greens with Deborah Madison and others, at a benefit for the Marin Agricultural Land Trust. Congratulations, Diane and Rick!

 We believe strongly in the Slow Food mission of promoting good, clean, and fair food.
