Almond Cookies

Ingredients

  1. 1 cup all-purpose flour
  2. 1 cup almonds, ground
  3. ¼ tsp. baking powder
  4. pinch of salt
  5. ½ cup butter, softened
  6. ¾ cup sugar
  7. 1 egg white
  8. ½ tsp. almond extract

Steps

  1. Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. In a separate bowl, cream together butter and sugar. Add egg white and almond extract, mix well. Add the nuts in flour mixture and chill for an hour. Shape into ¾-inch balls and place on a cookie sheet. Flatten slightly with the palm of your hand. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes. Be sure they don't brown.
