Almond Cookies

Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup almonds, ground
- ¼ tsp. baking powder
- pinch of salt
- ½ cup butter, softened
- ¾ cup sugar
- 1 egg white
- ½ tsp. almond extract
Steps
- Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. In a separate bowl, cream together butter and sugar. Add egg white and almond extract, mix well. Add the nuts in flour mixture and chill for an hour. Shape into ¾-inch balls and place on a cookie sheet. Flatten slightly with the palm of your hand. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes. Be sure they don't brown.
